“Our architecture draws its inspiration from everyday rituals and practices. We aspire to a ‘resonant’ architecture: sensory places, places that bring people together.”

The Delordinaire studio places human synergies at the heart of its architectural approach: the occupants and their everyday uses. This vision brings the simplest interactions to light, integrating them into the environment and, conversely, bringing the environment closer to people’s daily lives.

Working closely with their clients, Delordinaire designs bespoke projects covering the entire process, from concept to delivery, from architecture to interior design, down to the furniture. Conceived around the “truth of materials”, these projects give a central place to our relationship with nature.

Founded in 2016 by Adrian Hunfalvay, Erwan Levêque and Jean-Philippe Parent, the studio draws on a symbiosis of cultural identities and diverse design heritages: Australia with Adrian, France with Erwan and Canada with Jean-Philippe. Delordinaire designs projects of different typologies and scales, from private residences such as High House or Garden House, to public buildings such as the Courbevoie Cultural Centre, and commercial projects such as J.M. Weston or Husbands Paris.

Australian-born Adrian Hunfalvay and French-born Erwan Lévêque co-founded and developed the Paris design studio Ciguë for twelve years, winning the Young French Architects and Landscape Architects award (NAJAP) in 2012. In 2016, they partnered with Canadian-born Jean-Philippe Parent, who brings over a decade of experience with internationally renowned architectural practices in Canada, Switzerland and France, to found the Delordinaire studio.

Based between Paris and Montreal, the studio brings together cultures from three continents around a shared vision: a radical architecture without artifice, focused on the nobility of raw materials, a constant dialogue with the landscape and the creation of spaces where people and use come first.
